External Concrete Manhole and Pipe Joint Wrap Seals
PRECAST CONCRETE MANHOLES AND CONCRETE PIPES JOINT SEALING
Infiltration and Extravasation Prevention
Groundwater enters the sewer collection system through leaky manholes joints. Inflow into the manhole can be prevented by installing a joint wrap seals.
External Joint Wrap is a custom compounded butyl-based sealant specifically designed to create a high performance seal in precast structures and pipe joints.
By applying and external tape seal, manhole joints are protected against water infiltration. The sealing tape provides a complete watertight seal.
External Joint Wraps provide excellent adhesive and cohesive strength, they are self-priming and self-healing. Highly resistive to temperature extremes and acid or caustic environments. External joint wrap remains permanently flexible is easy to applied, are high-performance seals.
In addition to leaks occuring at the section joints, the pipe-to-manhole connection points also may be a leaking problem. Manhole Test Plugs
Manhole most common size is DN 600 - 1000
For manhole leak testing a air inflatable plug is used.
The plug is relatively short and light, equipped with eyelet bolts for simple vertical positioning of a plug.
Standard accessories available for testing tightness with air.
